The story behind TERRAVIVÉ

Cynthia Phan was born and raised in Vietnam, where natural agriculture and traditional farming methods have long been part of everyday life.

When she moved to Singapore, she was inspired by the city’s greenery — plants growing on balconies, along corridors, in community gardens and throughout residential areas. Gardening is clearly an important part of life for many people here.

She also noticed a common challenge: many home gardeners relied on animal-based composts with unpleasant odours, or were unsure how to keep the soil in their pots healthy over time.

Back in Vietnam, Cynthia was already familiar with Trichoderma, a beneficial soil fungus that farmers have used for many years to support healthier soil and roots.

Seeing the opportunity to share this with Singapore gardeners, she created TERRAVIVÉ — combining beneficial Trichoderma and Bacillus microorganisms.
